FAQS
Questions Before Your First Visit?
Find clear answers to common questions about your care.
What can I expect during my first visit?
Your initial appointment includes a comprehensive consultation discussing your medical history, current health goals, and questions, followed by a personalized, gentle treatment session designed for your comfort.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are much thinner than injection needles. Most people feel little or no discomfort as they are placed. You may notice heaviness, warmth, tingling, or a dull sensation around a point. Veronica will check your comfort throughout the visit.
How many treatments will I need?
The number and frequency of visits depend on the concern, how long it has been present, your overall health, and how you respond. Some people notice a change quickly, while ongoing or complex concerns may call for a longer plan. Veronica will make a recommendation after your initial assessment and update it as treatment progresses.
Can I receive acupuncture while seeing another healthcare provider?
Often, yes. Acupuncture is commonly used as complementary care. Share your diagnoses, medications, procedures, pregnancy status, and current treatment plan so care can be coordinated safely. Acupuncture should not delay or replace necessary medical treatment.
What should I wear?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows access to areas such as the arms, lower legs, abdomen, or back. Draping is used when needed to protect your comfort and privacy.
Do you accept insurance?
We can provide itemized superbills that you may submit directly to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Please contact us to verify specific coverage options.
